GreenTex recently completed this window, door, and siding remodel for the Schultz family outside of Bee Cave. Mrs. Schultz first found GreenTex through the recommendation of a friend. She was considering a number of ideas to revamp the look and feel of her home, but she wanted to maximize her project budget and get the most bang for her buck. During the initial consultation, Mrs. Schultz and our design consultant Graeme looked at a number of different projects and talked through the options and possibilities. After careful consideration of her project goals, Mrs. Schultz determined that the doors, siding, and a few priority windows would deliver exactly what she was looking for and come within her project budget.
She had always dreamed of having a beautiful, custom wood front door in her home, but in each home she has lived in so far she has put up with the original builder grade doors. When she saw the incredibly accurate woodgrain finish on the ProVia Signet Fiberglass doors, she was so excited that she would not only be able to have her dream entryway, but also have a door that is virtually maintenance free and won’t degrade over time in the extreme elements of Central Texas! The Trillenium Multi-Point Locking System was the cherry on top, with three auto-aligning deadbolts along the length of the door that provide fortress level security and day-to-day ease of operation.
The siding on Mrs. Schultz’s home was the original wood siding, and after many years in the Texas sun it was time for an updated appearance. Our Cedar Milled James Hardie Lap Siding was the perfect remedy, providing a perfect match to a real wood texture and look! Coupled with a 25-Year Sherwin Williams SuperPaint, Mrs. Schultz now has an exterior that is not only beautiful, but it will stay beautiful for many years to come.
The final piece of the puzzle was the bay window in the kitchen. She loves the look and style of the bay window, but her original aluminum windows were showing their age in both appearance and the uncomfortable temperature in the kitchen. Our consultant Graeme made the suggestion to turn her large twin single hung window unit into one large fixed picture window to show off the dramatic view without any distracting grids or bars in the way. While initially unsure of the big change, she absolutely loves what it has done for the kitchen and all the natural light in the kitchen.

“GreenTex Windows & Siding came highly recommended by a friend. Graeme Wright was quick to answer my email and set up our first appointment. He worked with me until we were able to come up with the perfect “in budget” project that best met my needs.
Working with Graeme was so easy. Nothing was a big deal and every question had an honest answer! He was very professional, very kind and a great communicator.
I feel that purchasing the triple locking, Provia doors for added security was a great choice! The quality is superior and the look is just beautiful. Living in this Texas heat can take it’s toll on a painted or stained door and require a lot of care….but my new front door is made of a material that needs no upkeep- that’s golden!
Then, at Graeme’s suggestion…turning my old builder grade kitchen windows into a gorgeous picture window was a wonderful idea. I can’t believe the change it made!
Of course, Hardie siding and the superior paint was also the perfect choice for my project since this will last for many years to come!
The work that was done and quality of the products is exceptional!
Dave and the installers on this project were also very professional, on time and easy to communicate with. Clean-up was done at the end of each day. But more important to me was their attention to detail – from start to finish all those needs were met.
I can’t leave out Bennett, his follow up/final visit was fun and talk about an eye for detail- he did a great job as well.
A big job, such as replacing all siding, almost all of the doors and some windows on my home could have been a very daunting project. BUT- I couldn’t be happier with this finished project!
I am extremely thankful for GreenTex and the beautiful work. They were an answer to prayer and I will be recommending Graeme and his team to all my family, friends and neighbors!”
